Are you sure I wasn't alive in the 70s?

I went with a chocolate brown, mustard yellow and bright orange for my granny square - it was going to be lots of little squares joined together but I decided to do it this way instead (just getting bigger and bigger)... does it still count?

  1. Love those 70s colours! I made my first square ever the other day. I'm still not very good at joining rounds so it's a little wonky. :-)

  2. Great, huh? I tend to just pull them into shape, although with a big one I'm finding it harder! Still pretty happy with it so far :)

  3. Wow, what a coincidence! I just scored a brilliant brown, grey, orange, white and yellow crocheted rug made by my great-aunt. It's going to take pride of place draped over the couch.

  4. I like the granny-square-thing and now I try to learn it. Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. How come you know some german? It's not really a language you need in Australia, is it?

  6. Not at all! I put it into the Google translate page (http://translate.google.com). I know a few words from friends of mine who are German, but not enough for conversation unfortunately...
