A bright blue beginning

After getting the hang of granny squares, I'm now embarking on something circular in the form of a blue crocheted beret! Yes, it's altogether the wrong season for it but the on-again-off-again rain makes me think anything and everything is possible. My cute little red fingerless mittens might even come out again... I'm still so proud of those.

Can't wait to see the finished beret. I am still just on granny squares and impressed when I see anyone crocheting anything else!

I used to have a green crocheted beret that I wore to Uni (a million years ago). I originally found it at the oppy but I don't know what ever happened to it... I wish I still had it!

I'm doing this on the fly, not 100% sure that my crochet techniques are right but it seems to be looking kindof like the photo on the pattern! If it works out, I might start making more :)

Your crochet round is so neat! Everytime I try and crochet a hat it comes out lumpy. Can't wait to see the resulting beret!
