Just a minute... in April

Here's my April round up, as inspired by August Street:

Reading... the news online every day, when I really shouldn't. There's a lot of hype about this swine flu at the moment, not sure whether to be scared or not.

Watching... digital television now we have a set top box! (the late night poker is a favourite)

Listening... to lots of new music. On the list to buy is Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Silversun Pickups, and Dark was the Night (a compilation).

Eating... soup, like the Spicy Moroccan Tomato & Chickpea recipe in my Vegetarian Bible. Cheap and delicious!

Knitting... scarves, slippers, mittens, and crocheting a giant granny square blanket. Phew.

Learning... to work for myself! I'm now officially a sole trader and loving it.

wow Jess, what are you trading? That is awesome!

Also, how good is Dark was the night.

Well, I'm trading "myself"! That sounds a bit wrong. Basically I'm invoicing people for my time, doing project management, fixing internal processes and things like that. Hard to explain but going well!

Haven't got Dark was the Night yet but hoping to rectify that in the next few days :)

Wow Jess, big congrats. That's a great move.

I'm loving the sound of the Morrocan chickpea soup. It really has clocked around to soup weather methinks.

Thank you! It was probably a silly time to try going out on my own but I had enough work setup for the next little while so giving it a go!

I'll have to post the soup recipe here soon, it's so easy and works out to about $1.50 per serve or something like that.
