Turning Japanese

Here's a close up of the pattern on my dress... it's a bit Japanesey, right? I've eaten at Japanese restaurants two days in a row, and Tokyo is coming up in conversation every 5 minutes. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something..? Anyway, the eateries were Peko Peko (199 Smith Street, Fitzroy; reviewed here) and Yume (367 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy). Both meals were incredible. Otsumami is next on my list.

>> Random aside: it's weird looking at the combination of photos taken in sweltering heat and then snow or ice through all the blogs in my reader.

oh jess...you must try wood spoon on Smith. (one of the best okonomiyakis I have tried) and Kappaya Japnese soul food cafe on Johnston St..(only open Wed-Sun 9-4) but is worth it for the stylin furniture and kick arse tea! You would love it!

I don't know Wood Spoon, but pretty sure I've been past Kappaya and always mean to go in sometime! Thanks for the tips :)

Loving the Japanese print.

I hear you - my brain always goes into a spin when I try to imagine the 7 feet of snow that Chicago was under last week, and here we are in a heatwave.
