A girl in red

More great street art, this time in a Fitzroy laneway. Did you see the last one I found? Pretty cute too.

>> I originally envisaged Thousand Threads to be about knitting, with some naturally entwined elements of sewing, craft & art. I do still want to narrow my focus, but find myself interested in so many things... it's problematic. Would I rather be a "good" blogger, or inclusive? (I'm still deciding)

I think you should post whatever you think is interesting ....chances are that if you're interested in it, then the people reading your blog will be too.
Great street art by the way!

Thank you! I think that's what I'll keep doing whether I want to or not anyway... I guess there are no rules :)

Thanks for your comments too, they're always very thoughtful!

Great pic - which laneway? I have not seen this piece.

Re blogging, having a clear idea of a theme and following through on it is wise, but you have to love your theme! And it is ok to change :-)

This laneway was between Nicholson & Brunswick Streets, close to the freeway end, but I saw the same stencil a few times in the area.

I've obviously been totally sidetracked from the original knitting theme here, whoops!

that's neat! I think sharing things which inspire you is great 'cause it may inspire others too :)

Hey, go nuts I say! Mine was a sewing blog but I haven't made anything in months... life got in the way. And that will always happen, things will always change (still can't wait to get back into sewing) ... but every time I have a significant change, I just change my profile so new readers have an idea of what's going on.

Make blogging your thing - write about whatever tickles your fancy... no need to pigeonhole yourself I think (that's what makes it interesting). And if you swap and change (like I do!) then so might some of your readers, but the ones that start getting to know you will hang around and enjoy the changes.

Oh yeah, and I love this street art!

That's true... I suppose if anyone is interested they'll come back, and if not, well it's just not for them. I really like having the outlet for things I'm doing & finding... thanks for the feedback!
